Akram Khan, the Chairperson of the BCB’s cricket operations committee has confirmed the news to Cricfrenzy.
In August 2020, Neil Mckenzie had stepped down as Tiger’s batting coach due to family issues. After his departure, former New Zealand Batsman Craig McMillan was appointed by the BCB as the batting consultant for three-match Test Series against the Sri Lankan Cricket Team.

Amid this situation, BCB coach Sohel Islam will be the spin bowling coach for the series against the West Indies. He is currently working with the Under-19 team. He was last seen as the head coach of Fortune Barishal in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup as well.
