Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana has reached a career-high position in the latest ICC Men's ODI Bowling Rankings following his match-winning performance against Australia in the first ODI in Mirpur.

After troubling Pakistan and New Zealand with his pace in recent months, Nahid continued his impressive rise by producing a stunning spell against the six-time world champions.

The 22-year-old claimed 4 wickets for 41 runs, recording the best ODI bowling figures by a Bangladesh bowler against Australia.

The performance has earned Nahid a significant boost in the ICC rankings. He has climbed 23 places to 24th in the ODI bowling rankings with 535 rating points, both career-best achievements.

Among Bangladesh bowlers, only captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz is ranked higher. Miraz remains eighth in the rankings with 618 rating points, while Taskin Ahmed retains his 32nd position. Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman has also moved up two places to 37th.

Bangladesh batters also made gains following their victory over Australia. Opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim, who scored a brisk 54 off 44 balls in the first ODI, has jumped seven places to 33rd in the batting rankings.

Najmul Hossain Shanto, who struck 67 in the same match, has climbed two spots to 29th.

In the ODI all-rounders' rankings, Miraz has slipped one place to fourth, while Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai continues to lead the category.
