Bangladesh announce squad for Under-19 World Cup

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced the national squad for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup Zimbabwe & Namibia 2026.

The team, led by Azizul Hakim Tamim, will depart Dhaka on Sunday night to begin their World Cup campaign. Zawad Abrar has been named vice-captain of the side.

Bangladesh have won the Under-19 World Cup once, lifting the title at the 2020 edition. In the most recent tournament, the young Tigers were knocked out after losing to Pakistan in a virtual quarter-final.

Bangladesh will begin their Under-19 World Cup campaign on 17 January against neighbours India. Three days later, they will face New Zealand, before taking on the United States in their third match on 23 January.
