After bowling out Pakistan for just 129 in 38.3 overs, Bangladesh chased down the modest target with 113 balls to spare, led by Rubya Haider’s composed half-century.
Opting to bat first, Pakistan were rocked early as Marufa Akter removed Omaima Sohail (0) and Sidra Amin (0) in the very first over to leave them reeling at 2 for 2.
Muneeba Ali (17) and Rameen Shamim (23) tried to rebuild, but regular strikes from Bangladesh’s disciplined bowling attack never allowed momentum.
Captain Fatima Sana (22) and wicketkeeper Sidra Nawaz (15) offered brief resistance, but with Shorna Akter (3/5) ripping through the lower order, Pakistan collapsed to 129 all out inside 39 overs.
Nahida Akter (2/19) and Marufa Akter (2/31) were also key contributors with the ball, while Rabeya Khan’s tight spell (1/13 in 7 overs) applied constant pressure.
In reply, Bangladesh lost opener Fargana Hoque early (2), trapped lbw by Diana Baig, but Rubya Haider anchored the chase with a steady 54 not out off 77 balls. Though Sharmin Akhter (10) and captain Nigar Sultana (23) fell along the way, Bangladesh were always in control of the required run rate.
The finishing touch came from Sobhana Mostary, who struck a brisk 24 off 19 balls* with six boundaries to seal victory in just 31.1 overs.
