Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) pushed the ball to the court of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and said it up to the hosts to go ahead with the Test series that is a part of the International Cricket Council (ICC)-World Test Championship.

BCB president said they are reluctant to play under the provision of the health protocols that won’t allow Bangladesh players to come out of the hotel room for the next 14-day quarantine period after being landed in the island nation.

Even the SLC will not support them with the medical team what they have to carry with them beside carry thrower for the net practice.

The BCB president raised a big question about how it is possible to play high level of cricket in such a condition and they informed them of their decision not to tour Sri Lanka with the present biosecurity-bubble plan.

He also said they will not be retracted from their plan if they take it for their other plan and are planning to go ahead with it.

“We needn’t bring bowlers for the net practice session. We need throwers and a medical team. They will not give us medical support. In that sense, there is a big doubt that will we be allowed to bring our 11 players? That meant I can’t understand what they said,” Nazmul Hassan Papon.

“For this I don’t say anything about it right now. It is not possible to play cricket what they give us. And we are not going there. We’ve told them that it is possible to play in this way. There is nothing waiting. We have informed them about our decision,” Papon told the media after holding an emergency meeting at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today.
