Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has admitted Prantic Nabil, a youth cricketer of the newly-build Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team to a city hospital today after being seen for his allergy-related problem with light headache.
BCB Games Development senior national manager AEM Kawser confirmed the news of Prantic Namil to Cricfrenzy.com, one of the leading web portals of the country.
Kawser said they admitted Prantic to Apollo hospital from Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) not to take any risk after seeing his allergy-related problem with light headache.
The doctors get nothing ‘bad’ from his report, Kawser said, adding that he will be released from the hospital on Saturday.
“Prantic had a bit of allergy-related problem. And when it happens, he also feels a headache. This time the same thing happened. For this we checked him in Apollo Hospital. He is fine. As of now everything is okay. Nothing is serious. We admitted him to hospital after seeing his problem without making any delay,” said AEM Kawser.

“His check-up was done yesterday night. All the reports have come well. Doctors told us nothing to be worried about. He might be released today or tomorrow,” Kawser told this reporter.
The pressure in his chest increases when his allergy problem happens. Maybe it could be a cause of his breathing problem. But it could not be called a direct breathing problem,” he added.
Youth Team manager Sajal Chowdhury echoed the same sentiment and said that Prantic had a problem but that was nothing serious.
“He had a bit of a breathing problem but that was nothing serious. He went to the doctor yesterday after which he was there. Doctors will see the reports and hopefully he will come back within one-two days,” Sajal Chowdhury said.
A total of 47 players, splitting into three groups-Green, Red and Blue, have been in a four-week-long training camp at the BKSP since August 19.
The teams already played a slew of matches under a 2020 Tri-Series from where the age-group selectors will whittle down the squad to form a new set-up for the upcoming national and international series and Tournaments.
They have Youth Asia Cup ahead. The eight-team tournament will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in November this year.
The 16-year-old cricketer is now in the hospital. It is learnt from the BCB sources that Nabil had an allergy-related problem. But a light breathing problem with headache is seen in his physic on Thursday.
In addition, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) didn’t organize the 2020 Youth Cricket League owing to the deadly COVID-19, which halted the formation of the Under-19 set-up.
For this, BCB Games Development has organised the camp in order to form a new squad by trimming it from a 47 to 24-man squad for the intense training camp.
