David Warner confirms Premier Cricket stint

Steve Smith and David Warner had been cleared to play grade cricket despite their year-long CA bans, on May 10. Four days later, the third of the disgraced ball-tampering trio—Cameron Bancroft also got the exemption that he needed to play Premier Cricket.
All three players will able to ply their trade only in Sydney grade matches as the CA ban extended to state cricket as well. Warner and Bancroft are also likely to play the NT Strike League in Darwin.
Former Aussie vice-captain David Warner has confirmed his Premier return and will play at least three of the first four matches for Randwick Petersham in Premier Cricket. He will also be involved in pre-season training and helping with the club’s youngsters.

Club president and former Aussie fast bowler Mike Whitney is pleased to have the southpaw in his team. He labeled Warner as one of the best Australia cricketer since world war two.
“We're delighted to have him,” Whitney said. “He's one of the best players Australia has had since World War Two.
“He's been speaking to one of our club officials and he has committed to the first three or four rounds of the season. Why it is only three or four rounds at this stage, I don't know.
“Everyone is excited to have him. He will be great in the changing rooms with younger players.”
Whitney had reached out to Warner last month after following the batsman’s ban for his role in the ball-tampering fiasco in South Africa. The 31-year-old had joined the club back in 2013-14, but he's rarely featured for the club due to his state, international and IPL assignments.
