Twitter reacts to ball-tampering scandal

After Cameron Bancroft and Steve Smith admitted ball-tampering in a public confession on Saturday, situations grew worse for the Australian team as their Smith and David Warner stepped down as captain and vice-captain respectively for the remainder of the series.
The incident sent shockwaves to the cricketing world as well as on the social media. Twitterati took to social media to express their shocked reaction to the incident and here are some of those tweets:
BREAKING - South African immigration minister offers fast-tracked protection visas to 11 Australians facing imminent danger of persecution in their home country. #CricketAustralia

Bloody Furious! Bring them all home, don’t want them representing my country! Tour over. Wasn’t a “mistake” it was premeditated. @CricketAus have to deal with this now and show we won’t put up with this behaviour

Laws of cricket: “The major responsibility for fair play rests with the captains...” Smith has admitted not merely cheating, but planning to cheat. Everything else in that ill-tempered series is irrelevant to this. By his own actions, Smith’s position as captain is untenable.

Slept on it...Lehmann, Saker & the leaderships groups jobs are untenable!
They’ve disgraced a great cricketing nation & Test cricket!

Like all Australians, I can't quite believe what we saw last night. For the sake of all cricket lovers I hope Cricket Australia make it clear that this behaviour is unacceptable #SAvAUS #Auspol

Team mate of mine, known him since he was 13. Disappointing. Out of character. Eagerly awaiting the fall out from this. #SAvsAUS https://t.co/S0NsJEvON7 https://t.co/S0NsJEvON7

Oh no ! Bancroft. Very embarrassing. From the looks of it, this is not on. Haven't seen a series marred by controversies like this one in a long long time. The Cricket has been great, but this .. #SAvAUS pic.twitter.com/2uNhxtBXTv

Unfortunately this is blatant cheating and Steve Smith will have to step down as Australian captain.
Steve Smith constantly threw the ball at Bancroft so he knew full well what was going on.
He must be charged alongside him!

My 2cents worth - This will be Darren Lehmann’s greatest test as a coach, cos I will struggle to believe that this was all Bancroft’s idea. #SandpaperGate.
