Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) four-member delegation team visited the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur as part of their routine preparations for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, set to take place next month.
During their visit, they reviewed the stadium and its facilities, and observed security drills conducted by Bangladesh’s Security Forces.
Shahriar Nafees, head of cricket operations for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), was also present during the inspection.
The delegation included three CSA officials and former South African all-rounder Farhaan Behardien, who now serves as cricket operations and player engagement manager at the South African Cricketers Association (SACA), representing his organization.
Prior to this, the delegation had visited Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday, where they conducted a similar inspection of the venue’s facilities and security measures.
South Africa will begin the first Test in Dhaka on October 21, followed by the second Test in Chattogram starting on October 29. The Proteas are set to return home on November 3.
