Veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has announced the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will be the last tournament before he hangs his boots from all forms of cricket.
The 41-year-old took to social media to state his decision, “It’s been a great journey. This season will be my last one and I’m looking forward to playing my final professional tournament in front of my Caribbean people. TKR is the place where everything started for me and will end with my team that I helped build from scratch!”
Bravo is currently the highest wicket-taker in both T20 and CPL cricket, claiming 128 wickets in the CPL.
Bravo’s CPL retirement comes almost three years after he ended his T20 International career following West Indies’ early exit at the 2021 T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
Bravo retired from the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2023 and has served as Chennai Super Kings’ as bowling coach.
