Adelaide Strikers won the Top End Series as Bangladesh HP succumbed to a 33-run defeat in the tournament's final at DXC Arena on Sunday.
Set to chase a 170-run target, after a brilliant batting display off Tom O'Connell, the Bangladesh batters struggled to build partnerships losing wickets at regular intervals as they could muster 137-10 in 19.5 overs.
Connell smashed 53 off 33 featuring five boundaries and a couple of sixes, supported by Liam Scott's 18-ball 30 helped Adelaide to unwind early set back when they lost opener Jake Winter for 4.
Ripon Mondol picked up a couple of wickets, but Ryan King's (35) and Sam Rahaley's (20) contribution in the middle propelled them to reach a competitive total of 169-7 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target Bangladesh openers amassed 32 runs for the opening partnership before the dismissal of Jishan Alam (18). Tanzid fought hard, scoring 35 off 29, but didn't get much support from the others as the batters failed to comply with big partnerships.
Afif managed to score 18, while Mahfuzur Rabby contributed 22 with a brief innings in the middle.
The HP played two matches on the same day as they faced the Northern Territory Strike in the semi-final earlier in the day and secured a three-wicket win.
