Former cricketers Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq have been removed from Pakistan's selection committee.

This decision follows Pakistan's disappointing performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, where the team failed to advance beyond the group stage.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the changes in an official statement on Wednesday morning, stating, "Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz have been informed that their services are no longer needed in the national selection committee setup."

The PCB also mentioned, "Further updates on the composition of the selection committee will be provided in due course."

Abdul Razzaq was a member of both the men’s and women’s selection committees, while Wahab Riaz served on the men’s selection committee.

The remaining five members of the men’s selection committee include the head coaches and captains for their respective formats, along with Mohammad Yousuf, Asad Shafiq, and data analyst Bilal Afzal.
