Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed was ambitious ahead of the Super-8 clash against India in the T20 World Cup, stating that it’s his dream to take five wickets against Men in Blue.
Bangladesh will play against India at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. They have faced each other 4 times in the T20 World Cup, with Rohit Kohli's team winning all the matches.
Taskin was determined to take on sub-continent rivals and achieve his dream goal in the current World Cup.
“Playing against them is always fun and exciting. So as a player from the sub-continent if I can get wickets of Kohli, Rohit Sharma … those are always joyful for the fans and for me as well. It's a dream to take five wickets in the T20 World Cup, especially against India. It’s a big thing against India,” said Taskin.
Bangladesh wicket-keeper batter Litton Das reckoned that they need to perform collectively and deliver outstanding performance from all the departments.
“India is a big team and they have quality players. They have big big names in the team. For bowlers It will be challenging to bowl Rohit Sharma and facing Jasprit Bumrah will be synonymously difficult for the batters. To play well we have to plan well and bat well, “ said Litton.
Bangladesh suffered a 28-run defeat (D/L Method) against Australia in the first match of the Super-8 clash. It will be a do-or-die game for the Tigers when they face India in the next match for the semi-final berth.
