Bangladesh's opening ICC T20 World Cup warm-up game against the USA at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas has been cancelled due to bad weather, confirmed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
"This is to confirm that the warm up match between Bangladesh and the USA at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas today has been cancelled due to the conditions of the facilities following the adverse weather that has affected the area," said BCB.
Just a couple of days after losing the three-match T20 International series, Bangladesh were set to take on USA.
While Bangladesh were expected to ease to the series victory, USA grabbed a five-wicket win in the first match and then snatched a six-run victory in the second game to win the first ever series against a Test nation. Bangladesh came back strongly in the third match to crush them by 10 wickets and avoided the whitewash.
Tigers will next play India in their second and final warm-up game ahead of the T20 World Cup on June 2.
Bangladesh will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against Sri Lanka on June 8.
