England announced their provisional T20 World Cup squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and United States of America starting in June.
English all-rounder Chris Woakes has been dropped, while Jofra Archer and Jordan were also included after almost a year on the sidelines.
Archer has not played competitive cricket for a year and last appeared for his country on the white-ball tour of Bangladesh 14 months ago.
The 29-year-old, Archer hasn't played in a World Cup since bowling the decisive Super Over in the 2019 final against New Zealand at Lord’s.
This squad will also take on Pakistan men in the preceding four-match Vitality IT20 series, which gets underway next month in Leeds.
England will begin their tournament against Scotland on 4 June in Barbados and if everything goes as planned, Archer will play for the team in that match on the island.
