Chandimal withdraws from 2nd Test due to personal reasons

Sri Lankan cricketer Dinesh Chandimal has withdrawn from the ongoing second Test match against Bangladesh with immediate effect.
According to the press release, the player had to leave the match on Day 4 due to a 'family medical emergency.'
Chandimal, who is a crucial player for the Sri Lankan team, decided to return home immediately to join his famile. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has extended full support to the player.
The statement read, "Sri Lanka Cricket, his teammates, and the coaching staff fully support Dinesh Chandimal at this moment of need and request that the public respect his and his family's privacy." The Sri Lankan team is currently playing the 2nd Test match against Bangladesh in Chattogram, Bangladesh.
The player had scored a crucial 59 and 9 runs in two innings which helped Sri Lanka set a daunting total of 511 runs.
Sri Lanka lead the two-match series 1-0 after a big win in Sylhet. The ongoing Test is Sri Lanka's last game on this tour of Bangladesh.
