Australia beat Bangladesh in 2nd ODI to take unassailable lead 2-0

Ellyse Perry guide Australia to a comprehensive six-wicket win over Bangladesh in the second ODI, securing the three-match series by taking an unassailable lead of 2-0.


Bangladesh were completely outplayed by the Aussies. Perry top-scored and remained unbeaten on 35 runs and Ashleigh Gardner contributed 20 runs in their commanding win against the hosts.


Despite a shaky start, the visitor's rebound was led by two small partnerships in the middle. Skipper Alyssa Healy also scored 15 runs but fell to Rabeya Khan with a catch to Nahida.


For Bangladesh Sultana Khatun and Rabeya Khan each took one wicket apiece.

Bangladesh women's cricket team were bowled out for 97 runs, after opting to bat in the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.


Bangladesh struggled to resist Australian bowling as they rattled down Bangladesh's batting lineup after they opted to bat first against the World Champions.


Nahida Akter scored the highest 22 runs off 47 deliveries while Fahima Khatun (11) and Ritu Moni (10) are the only batters to cross double figures.


Left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux was the pick bowler for Australia, taking three wickets for 10 runs in 10 overs.
