Saifuddin eyes national team chances via DPL performance

Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin aims to make a return to the national team fold by performing well in the upcoming Dhaka Premier League (DPL).
Saifuddin, who featured Fortune Barishal in the recently concluded BPL, displayed an impressive performance in the tournament taking 15 wickets in nine matches, he also played a big role in the title win for the franchise.
It was expected that the all-rounder would be included in the Sri Lanka series after his impressive performance in BPL. However, the team management decided not to include him due to his injuries.
Saifuddin remained optimistic for the future series’ and wants to be an impactful cricketer in the upcoming DPL to return to the national team after playing well in the DPL.
“Now I will try to give my best. Since I am playing for Abahani, if I do well here, chances will come since there are many series. Don't want to rush too much,” said Saifuddin.
“It's not just about personal achievements like being the highest wicket-taker or scoring the most runs, but rather about contributing to the team's victory. I aim to be an impactful player and have achieved this in the past with Abahani. My goal remains the same this year as well,” he added.
