Moeen Ali showcased his prowess with a remarkable hat-trick, following an explosive century by Will Jacks, as the Comilla Victorians dominated the Chattogram Challengers, securing a commanding 73-run victory on the inaugural day of the Chattogram phase in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) today.

Jacks delivered a scintillating unbeaten knock of 108 runs off just 53 balls, complemented by skipper Liton Das's aggressive 60 off 31 balls and Moeen's blistering 53 not out off 24 balls, propelling Comilla to a formidable total of 239-3.

This remarkable score equaled the highest ever in BPL history, previously achieved by the Rangpur Riders against the Chittagong Vikings during the 2019 edition at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

In a stunning display of spin mastery, Comilla's duo of Moeen and Rishad Hossain wreaked havoc, each claiming four wickets, to dismantle Chattogram's batting lineup, restricting them to 166 all out in just 16.3 overs.

Moeen's final three wickets, secured in the first three balls of the 17th over, sealed an emphatic victory for the defending champions, highlighting their dominance in the tournament.
