Young Tigers are not anxious about complex equation of semis

Bangladesh faces a challenging equation to qualify for the semi-finals of the ongoing U19 World Cup. Despite reaching the Super Six, the young Tigers need to navigate a complex equation to advance to the semi-finals in this year's tournament.
Captain Mahfuzul Rahman Rabby expressed that the equation is intricate, especially due to the complex format of the tournament. Bangladesh will play their first match in the Super Six against Nepal on Wednesday.
"This format is a bit complicated, so we have started preparing early. We are not thinking too much about those factors. We want to play the way we normally do in our natural matches." Rabby said on Tuesday.
Out of the 16 teams in the World Cup, 12 have secured a place in the Super Six. These 12 teams are divided into two groups, where the top two teams from each group will play in the semi-finals.
Bangladesh's opponents in the Super Six include Nepal and Pakistan. Winning against these two teams alone won't guarantee Bangladesh a spot in the semi-finals; they also need to pay attention to the net run-rate.
As per the net run-rate, Bangladesh currently holds the fourth position in Super Six Group One.
On the other hand, India and Pakistan will start their campaign in the group with all victories. New Zealand is in third place, and Ireland and Nepal occupy the last two spots. Therefore, Bangladesh need not only victories but also need to focus on their run rate.
However, the Bangladesh team is not thinking too much about these aspects before stepping onto the field.
"We want to keep the process right. We are not overly concerned about the results. We have another match ahead of us. We want to follow the process and play that match. Our second match is against Pakistan. Currently, all our thoughts are on Nepal" he added.
