Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha plans to find the right combination of the team and assign the players to play their respective roles ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh will play a three-match T20Is against New Zealand and 11 more game before the T20 World Cup. The coach intends to make the most of this opportunity to finalize the team’s plan.

“As we know our record, we haven’t won any T20 game over here. It was the same for the ODI cricket, but we won the last game. Conditions dictate a lot of the plans for how we want to play at the same time we have to keep one eye on the T20 World Cup,” said Hathurusingha during the press.

“We are trying to get our plans right for that. We got 11 games and the BPL as well since it is our national team, we are trying to get our combination and give the players the role they play during the World Cup. So that’s the plan,” he said.

The coach also acknowledged that Soumya Sarkar was always capable of doing wonders and his class is permanent.

“I’m very happy the way he performed and I always knew he was capable of playing well in important matches because he has shown before when I was here and we all say that his class is permanent,"

"Form can affect many things depending on what's on your head. The more you clear and understand your role the more you are comfortable with the environment every player maximizes their potential. So if he is in a good space he will also perform well in the T20 World Cup,” he added.
