Tigers eye to end 2023 with perfect T20I record

Bangladesh is poised to maintain its unbeaten series streak in T20 format for the year as they gear up for a three-match series against New Zealand, commencing on Wednesday.
In a remarkable display of progress, the Tigers secured victories in all three T20 series they participated in this year.
Following a challenging T20 World Cup last year, Bangladesh surprised many by sweeping a three-match T20 series against formidable England in the Tigers’ den last March. Subsequently, they clinched the series against Ireland 2-1 and triumphed over Afghanistan 2-0. The latter victory was particularly significant, considering Bangladesh's historical struggles against Afghanistan in T20 cricket.
While all these victories were achieved on home turf, Bangladesh now faces New Zealand in an away series, a crucial test of their progress in this format with the next T20 World Cup looming.
Despite having lost all nine T20 matches played on New Zealand soil against the Black Caps, the recent breakthroughs in Test and ODI formats against New Zealand have boosted Bangladesh's confidence.
Last year, they secured their maiden Test victory in New Zealand and pulled off a remarkable win in the last ODI, breaking New Zealand's 17-match winning streak at home.
Buoyed by these achievements, Bangladesh is determined to turn the tide in T20s and put an end to their winless streak against New Zealand in this format.
