Joty: Improvements are showing now
6 hrs agoBangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad is set to be ruled out of the New Zealand white-ball series consisting of three ODIs and an equal number of T20I series due to a shoulder injury.
Mahmudullah suffered the injury during the last match of the World Cup when he dived to save himself from a runout against Australia which was also the last World Cup appearance of the all-rounder.
A reliable source from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) stated that Mahmudullah had an MRI which revealed that the all-rounder will be out of action for at least five weeks.

The ODI series is scheduled to begin on December 17 following the two-match Test series at home which will be played between November 28 to December 10.

It is almost confirmed that Mahmudullah won’t be able to recover for the ODI series, however, there is a slight chance for the veteran to return with the T20Is that begin on December 27.
Mahmudullah was dropped from the ODI and T20I setup during the Ireland series at home.
Later, he was included in the World Cup squad after a lot of drama within the board and team management and proved to be the best campaigner scoring the highest runs for the side in the World Cup.
