Bangladesh Women's clinch super-over thriller against Pakistan

5 hrs agoBangladesh Women's defeated Pakistan Women's in the second ODI to win a super-over thriller to level the series 1-1 at Sher e Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.
Bangladesh required 8 runs in the super over, Sobhana Mostary smashed a boundary in the first ball but was dismissed after a couple of deliveries then captain Nigar Sultana hit a boundary in the last ball to clinch the match.
Earlier, Bangladesh set a target of 170 runs after electing to bat first. Nigar Sultana played the captain's knock to score 54 runs and opener Fargana Hoque scored 40 runs.

Sobhana Mostary and Fahima Khatun played brief innings in the middle and each scored 16 runsrespectively which helped them to set a challenging total.

Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal each picked up two wickets for Pakistan.
Chasing the target, Pakistan got off to a decent start with openers registering 41 runs for the opening partnership. Sadaf Shamas top-scored 29, captain Nida Dar also contributed 27 runs.
Rabeya Khan posed treat to Pakistan as she returned figure of three wickets conceding 29 runs in 10 overs. Pakistan were an inch closer to win when they lost Diana Baig (14) with a run out.
They lost two more wickets in quick succession being run-out and finished on 169 runs, resulted as tie.
