Sri Lanka veteran all-rounder Angelo Mathews has been called into Sri Lanka's squad for World Cup to replace injured Matheesha Pathirana.
Pathirana failed to recover from his shoulder injury and was subsequently ruled out of the World Cup.

"Mathews, who has played 221 ODIs, was named as a replacement after Pathirana failed to recover from a shoulder injury sustained during a warm-up match and was subsequently ruled out of the tournament," confirmed the ICC in a media release.
Mathews had already been drafted into the squad as a traveling reserve and has participated in practice sessions in Bengaluru, where Sri Lanka will face England on Thursday, October 26.
Sri Lanka have lost three of its four games and is presently ranked ninth in the points standings.
