Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha expressed disappointment over ACC’s decision of adding a reserve day for the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match. He believes that the rules should remain consistent for all participating teams.
Hathurusingha's comments came as a response to the ACC's decision to allocate a reserve day exclusively for the India-Pakistan clash in the ACC Six-Nation Cricket Tournament.
“I'm sure there is a technical committee represented by every participant in countries, six nations. So they must have decided with some other reason. It's not ideal because we would love to have an extra day as well. So other than that, I don't have much comment on that. Because they have made a decision,” Hathurusingha said at the press conference.
“I haven’t seen this kind of thing in another tournament, this changing rules in the middle of the tournament.” he added.

The reserve day was planned as there is a possibility of rain affecting the India-Pakistan match scheduled for Sunday, with precipitation predicted to have up to a 90% chance of occurrence.
Earlier, the rain had forced a washout when the two teams first faced each other in the group stage match.
Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka in their second match of the Asia Cup Super Four phase tomorrow (Saturday) at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, a game which turned out to be another 'do or die contest' for them.
Hathurusingha remains confident about his team's chances in the next two matches.
"We have to play in different conditions from the past two games against different opposition, so it's a big challenge for us," said Hathurusingha, a former Sri Lankan all-rounder.
"But we are much more capable of what we have shown. The inconsistency is the one that we have to address and look forward to put on a good show."
