Galle Titans were defeated by Dambulla Aura in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Dambulla registered a commanding 7-wicket win against Galle while chasing a 134-run target, thanks to opener Avishka Fernando's unbeaten 70.
He played 49-ball 70 which featured three fours and an equal number of sixes. Then, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Kusal Mendis played brief innings of 25 and 18 runs respectively.
Shakib al Hasan scalped the prize wicket of Kusal Perera and Lahiru Kumara took a couple of wickets for Galle but wasn't enough to defend the total.
Batting first, Galle managed to post 133-9 in the allotted 20 overs. Galle failed to make a good start as they lost both the openers early 25-2 within the first powerplay.
Skipper Dasun Shanaka top-scored with 36 runs off 25 deliveries including five 4's and Chad Bowes scored 22 runs off 18 with three boundaries.
Dushan Hemantha sclaped two while the rest of the bowlers took one wicket each for Dambulla.
