Bangladesh Tigers camp have started with 26 cricketers ahead of the upcoming World Cup, Asia Cup and series against Afghanistan.
However, opener Anamul Haque Bijoy, wicket-keeper batter Nurul Hasan Sohan and all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain weren’t included in that camp.
On Sunday, Bangladesh chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said to Cricfrenzy that the selection panel is going to add some other cricketers who are currently outside of the camp.
Cricfrenzy understands that Bijoy, Sohan and Mosaddek with some other Tiger players are set to join the camp tomorrow (Monday).

“We have included a few others (in the camp). From tomorrow they will also practice with the white ball team. The 26 names that were given are not for any particular team, we are looking at everyone. Everyone is in our consideration. For now, the red ball and white ball are practicing separately. Those we have added will also practice from tomorrow,” said Nannu.
Bangladesh player Sohan showed disappointed and taken aback for not getting a chance in the pool of 26 cricketers for the upcoming series and ODI World Cup.
“Maybe the team management had other plans. Maybe I was not picked due to the combination. It doesn't matter much to me. I have some time and will work more on my mental, physical, and skills. So that I can come back better,” Sohan said yesterday to the media.
Sohan’s recent performance in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) was convincing enough, scoring 511 runs in 15 matches in the 2022-2023 season.
On the other hand, Mosaddek and Bijoy also performed well in the last edition of DPL.
Mosaddek captained title-winning Abahani Limited as he scored 395 runs and grabbed seven wickets in 16 matches, while Bijoy scored 834 runs in 16 matches with three centuries as many as centuries.
The second-highest run in the tournament came from the bat of this cricketer, who played for Prime Bank.
