Bangladesh qualify for Women’s ODI World Cup

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has changed the timing of ODI and T20 series against Ireland from the ongoing England series. Keeping the holy Ramadan in mind, the start time of ODI and T20 has been changed.

In an official statement, BCB released the complete schedule of Ireland's tour of Bangladesh on Saturday. The Irish will come to Bangladesh on Sunday morning to play one Test, three ODIs and T20Is.

The date of fasting depends on the sighting of the moon. Ramadan month is likely to start on next 23rd or 24th of March.

Three matches of ODI series will be played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and the first match will start on March 18 at 2 pm. The second ODI will be held on March 20 at the same time. However, the last match will be on March 23 from 2.30 pm.

Two teams will go to Chittagong to play T20 series. There will be three matches on March 27, 29 and 31. All three matches will start at 2 PM.

Finally, on April 4, the only Test will be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The start time of this match is 10 am.

Jalal Yunus, chairman of BCB's cricket management department, said, "Some changes have been made in the match timings of the Ireland series for Ramadan. The T20 matches will start at 2 pm and will end by 5:30 pm. It will be over before Iftar. The third ODI will probably play during the fasting session. It is given at 2:30 am for the sake of the audience. This thought has been made so that Iftar can be done during the innings break.”

Meanwhile, Ireland have changed players in their squad before coming to Bangladesh. Josh Little from the ODI team and Conor Olphert from T20 have been left out as Fionn Hand has replaced them in both Formats. Besides, Hand was also included in their Test team.
