For the first time since 2010, England is trying to find space in their packed schedule to host Bangladesh before 2027 with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) chief conscious of how India and Australia fixtures have come to dominate the calendar.
England are currently touring for a white ball series in Bangladesh as The Three Lions have already clinched the three match ODI series 2-1 and Bangladesh took lead the T20 series 1-0, two more matches to go.
During this limited-overs tour, ECB chairman Richard Thompson spoke with Bangladesh cricket Board (BCB) officials, as well as other board representatives. It is hoped that a gap can be filled over the course of the following four years.

"During the ODI series the two boards have discussed it but nothing is final yet," BCB Cricket Operations Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus also confirmed the matter to Cricfrenzy.

ECB sources told Cricfrenzy that there have been talks between ECB and BCB about organizing the series. However, nothing has been finalized yet.
The big three of cricket's international competition—England, India, and Australia—play each other more frequently across all formats as a result of the significant financial benefits such series bring. This has a negative impact on the smaller cricket-playing nations.
Since Bangladesh last visited England, the Ashes will be the fourth such series, and the Australians have also visited for four separate limited-overs tours.
In the past 13 years, India has played four Test series in England, in addition to a white-ball trip last summer.
A test of the demand for tickets will occur in May when Ireland uses Chelmsford as its home venue for three one-day internationals against the Tigers, which carries World Cup qualification points.
