Will Jacks has experienced a setback in his quest to make England's World Cup lineup after a thigh injury forced him to withdraw from the remainder of the tour of Bangladesh.
The 24-year-old completed a full set of international debuts in the last six months by playing in his first ODI last week in Mirpur, but injury now appears to be setting the brakes on his rise.
Jacks hurt his left thigh while fielding in England's 132-run victory in Friday's second ODI, which saw them clinch the series with a game to spare. "Jacks will fly home in the next 48 hours to begin his recovery," an ECB spokesperson said.
While earning England caps in all three formats this winter, Jacks has hardly ever slept in his own bed. His T20I debut came during the team's September tour of Pakistan.

He took a six-wicket haul on his Test debut in Rawalpindi after traveling to the UAE for a training camp ahead of England's Test tour of Pakistan in mid-November.

He competed for Pretoria Capitals in the SA20 in January before traveling to New Zealand to serve as England's backup Test spinner.
After being dropped from the second Test in Wellington, he took a flight to Dhaka and arrived three days before the first ODI on Wednesday.
His luggage didn't arrive for another 48 hours, so he had to train with equipment borrowed from his teammates. In Bangladesh, he batted at No. 6 for both of his innings, scoring 26 runs and one run, while also claiming one wicket in 11 overs.
England have not replaced Jacks in their squad for either Monday's third ODI in Chattogram or the subsequent three-match T20I series.
