BCB look to extend DRS contract till 2027

Nizamuddin Chowdhury, CEO of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), stated that the cricket board is considering extending the DRS contract until 2027.
While announcing the upcoming England series' title sponsor on Monday, BCB CEO Nizamuddin stated that they are planning to sign an agreement to obtain DRS facilities not only for international but also for domestic cricket.
"We'll be contracting for a long time. We are looking to sign a contract with the company that could supply this service until 2027. DRS will be available in all domestic and international games in Bangladesh," said Nizamuddin.
BCB came under heavy scrunity when they failed to implement DRS during the league stage of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). However, they opted to facilitate ADRS, which sparked controversy during the only franchise-based tournament BPL.
BCB were trying to establish DRS system into countries domestic cricket for a long time.
"We were interested in including DRS in the country's domestic competition. We attempted to outsource DRS to our production team. That is why we have decided to extend the contract," he added.
