Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed won’t play the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) anymore as he has been sidelined for two weeks with a hamstring injury. The BCB decided to give him rest ahead of the England series to avoid risk.
The speed star’s franchise Dhaka Dominators have already knocked out from the BPL, they have only one game left in the competition against Chattogram Challengers on
Taskin played the first nine games for Dhaka in this year's BPL after overcoming a back injury. Due to his injury, he was unable to participate in Dhaka's final two games. On January 30, Taskin played his final game.
In the Sylhet phase, Taskin participated in one match. He was forced to take a break after suffering a hamstring injury while playing against Rangpur Riders.

A grade one tear was found on the MRI. After that, he met the BCB doctor and took necessary advice. Taskin did not practice with the team on Monday.
"Taskin is not playing at the BPL anymore. It has been a week since his injury. Rehabilitation will begin gradually. Hope there will be no problem. For this reason, we have removed him from the match, so that there is no problem in getting him in the England series," Dr. Debashish Chowdhury, BCB's chief physician said.
"It will take one and a half to two weeks to recover from the injury, but Taskin will be able to start bowling within the next week. We will proceed slowly" he added.
