Fortune Barishal beat Khulna Tigers by 37 runs in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, on Friday.
Captain's knock from Yasir Ali went in vain as his side suffered another defeat while chasing the 195-run target. Khulna managed to score 157-8 in the accumulated 20 overs.
Yasir top-scored with 60 from 38 balls which featured five boundaries and three sixes. Shai Hope (37) and Nahidul Islam (24) played short innings' in the middle but that was not enough for Khulna.

They kept losing at regular intervals throughout the match as Barishal all-rounder Karim Janat grabbed four-for and Khaled Ahmed picked up a couple of wickets for the winning side.

Earlier, Barishal posted 194-5 in 20 overs with the help of a blistering fifty by Iftikhar Ahmed. Ifthikhar and Shakib added a 52-run partnership for the fourth wicket that anchored their innings to a formidable target.
Ifthikhar hit 51 off 31 featuring three fours and an equal number of sixes and Shakib scored 36 striking four sixes and one boundary.
Fazle Mahmud and Ibrahim Zadran scored played brief innings of 39 and 23 runs respectively.
Paul Van Meekeren grabbed three wickets while Nahidul Islam and Hasan Murad took one wicket apiece for Khulna Tigers.
