India set to tour Bangladesh for white-ball series in August

In the first ODI of the series in Hyderabad, India was fined for maintaining a slow over-rate against New Zealand.


India was fined 60% of their match fee for a slow over-rate against New Zealand in the first ODI on January 18 in Hyderabad.


Javagal Srinath of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees ruled that India were three overs short of their target. Before making a decision, time constraints were taken into account.

Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel states that players are fined 20% of their match fee for each over their team fails to bowl in the allotted time.

The sides will face each other next at Raipur on January 21.
