27 Mar 25Fortune Barishal secured a 26-run win against Chattogram Challengers in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, on Friday.
Chasing 203, Chattogram managed to score 176-4 in the accumulated 20 overs. Despite a good start by the openers, Chattogram lost their momentum in the middle which swept the match away from their hand.
Ziaur top-scored with 47 off 25 balls which featured three 4's and four sixes. While opener Usman Khan played a stormy innings of 36 off 19 deliveries striking three fours and an equal number of sixes.

Other batters Max O Dowd and Afif Hossain played shot innings of 29 and 28 runs but were not enough to reach the mammoth target set by Barishal.
After being invited to bat first, Barishal posted a 202-7 in 20 overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz gave a blazing start to Barishal having struck 24 off just 12.
While Ibrahim Zadran fell short of two runs to mold a half-century as he scored 48 off 33 and Ifthikhar Ahmed strike a rapid fifty (57 in 26 balls hitting three 4's and five sixes) that thrust Barishal to cross 200.
Mahmudullah Riyad played a cameo inning of 25 and Anamul Haque Bijoy got back to runs with 30. While Shakib failed with the bat, contributing 8 runs to the score but scalped a wicket.
For Chattogram, Abu Jayed Rahi bagged three wickets and others took one wicket each.
