Shakib al Hasan heaped praises on young and local batters for their impressive performance in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Shakib also stated that this year’s pitch in Mirpur was much better and advantageous for both batters and bowlers, which aided the batters more to score runs.

“This year the pitch is very good. It is very unexpected to get such a pitch in Mirpur. The curator has to be praised for that. That's why so many runs are actually being scored and the matches are also getting better. It's exciting,” said Shakib during a private company event.
