27 Mar 25Sylhet Strikers defeated Dhaka Dominators by 62 runs in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on Friday.
Dhaka managed to score 139 losing all wickets while chasing a mammoth 202-run target by Sylhet Strikers. Imad Wasim, Mashrafe Mortaza and Mohammad Amir picked up two wickets each while the others took one apiece.

Dhaka was never on the chasing game as their top-order crumpled within the first five overs and they were slumped on 30-3. Then captain Nasir Hossain and Mohammad Mithun stitched a partnership of 77 runs, but following Mithun's dismissal, Dhaka lost wickets in quick successions.

Mithun played a stormy innings of 42 off 28 deliveries hitting three sixes and two boundaries while Nasir scored 44 off 35 balls which featured five 4's and a six.
Earlier, Towhid Hridoy smashed 84 off 46 with 5 fours and equal number sixes which propelled Sylhet to accumulate 201-8 in 20 overs.
Opener Najmul Hossain Shanto played a dominating knock of 57 off 39 with seven 4's and two sixes. Al Amin Hossain picked three wickets for Dhaka.
Sylhet Strikers batter Towhid Hridoy picked a penetrating wound while fielding against Dhaka Dominators. The incident happened in 11.2 overs, when Hridoy was fielding at point. He has been taken out to the doctor for treatment.
