Sanju Samson, India's wicketkeeper batter, has been ruled out of the two remaining T20Is against Sri Lanka.
During the first T20I, Samson was hit on the knee while fielding and was taken to the hospital for scans. A specialist advised him to rest and rehab, so he has been ruled out of the next two T20I series matches.

Samson was fielding near the ropes when he attempted to dive and stop a boundary but his left knee became stuck in the dirt.
The wicketkeeper batter reportedly did not travel to Pune with the team and instead remained in Mumbai for scans.
BCCI have named uncapped wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma as his replacement.
Jitesh had a spectacular debut IPL season for Punjab Kings in 2022, smashing 234 runs in a lower middle-order role at a strike rate of 163.64. The 29-year-old hard-hitting batter has played 76 T20s overall and has a career strike rate close to 150.
