Ritu Moni plays a shot against Ireland

The second ODI between Bangladesh Women and New Zealand has ended as a no-result due to persistent rain at McLean Park, Napier.


The rain forced to reduce the match to a 44-overs, Bangladesh scored 157 for 7 setting 158 run-target. In reply, New Zealand lost their captain Sophie Devine to a run-out just after  4.1 overs and eventually forced an abandonment.

Ritu Moni scored 32 off 58 balls, was the visitors’ highest score, and Fahima Khatun played an innings of 25 runs while New Zealand's left-arm spinner Fran Jonas took 2-30 for the hosts.
