Taskin ruled out of the Chattogram Test

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed has been ruled out of the first Test against India which gets underway at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
The development was confirmed by the head coach Russell Domingo to the media on Tuesday.Taskin was not able to play the first two ODIs against India after his old back injury resurfaced. But the injury couldn’t keep him off the field as he returned to the third ODI of the series.
"We are not going to risk Taskin in the first Test. He has come off a layoff and a few injections. To get him to bowl for a day-and-a-half in these conditions in Chattogram may not be good for him," said Domingo.
Taskin, however, reckoned that he might be able to return in the second Test match during a press conference on Monday.

Taskin had fine form in the T20 World Cup which was held in Australia. But he got injured again during the ODI format of BCL.
He last appeared in a Test match in March against South Africa. The right-hand spearhead was sidelined during Sri Lanka and West Indies series due to the injury.
Domingo was also excited about the young batter Zakir Hasan's inclusion in the Test squad.
"I have been very excited by him (Zakir). He has good energy. I know he has done well domestically; he has played a T20I for Bangladesh. I like the way he looks to score when he bats. A little Tamim-like in the way he bats. Nice and positive. Hopefully he can get off to a good, quick start tomorrow," he added.
