The incident occurred during the second over of Bangladesh's innings. India’s skipper attempted to take a low catch of Anamul Haque, but instead, Rohit failed to cling onto the ball.
The right-hand batter immediately went off the field, and later taken to hospital. Rohit did not open the batting but came in with a strapped glove after the fall of the 7th wicket.
However, could not save his side from the face of defeat as Bangladesh clinched the second match by 5 runs.
