Zakir Hasan's match-saving 173 runs helped Bangladesh A survive an innings defeat against India A as the four-dayer ended as a draw at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium.
Resuming 172-1 on Day 4, Bangladesh were still trailing by 181 runs. Batters Zakir and Najmul Hossain Shanto added another 47 runs to their overnight score before ending 148 run partnership for the second wicket.

Mukhesh Kumar gave India the breakthrough by dismissing Shanto on 77 off 187 balls, having been trapped by LBW.
Following the wicket, Bangladesh kept losing at a regular pattern as they lost Mominul Haque (17), Mohammad Mithun (10) and Jaker Ali (16) playing brief innings.
Though, Zakir remained poised to complete the huge 353-run lead in the first innings, he scored 173 facing 402 balls which included 16 fours and three sixes. Then, Saurab Kumar got rid of him just before the close of the day.
The match ended early due to poor light as Bangladesh reached 341-9 at the draw of the stumps.
