BCB announces Bangladesh U-19 squad for Sri Lanka ODI series

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the first of three U19 one-day matches at the Multan Cricket Stadium, thanks to Maruf Mridha's player of the match bowling performance of four wickets for 38 runs and half-centuries by openers Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan and Ashiqur Rahman Shibli.
Mridha's brilliant opening spell reduced Pakistan to three for three after Bangladesh captain Ahrar Amin chose to bowl after winning the toss.
Pakistan, on the other hand, managed to score 202 points thanks to brilliant comebacks from Arafat Minhas and Uzair Mumtaz.
Arafat led the way with a 77-ball 71 not out, hitting seven fours and four sixes, while Uzair scored 57 off 76 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes.

With 28, Mohammad Tayyab Arif was the only player in the top order to post a notable score.

With a solid opening stand of 160, Bangladesh openers Rizwan and Shibli denied Pakistan any chance of a comeback. Rizwan scored 79 off 86 balls, including 10 fours and a six, while Shibli scored 74 off 112 balls (eight fours).
Ali Raza of Pakistan dismissed both openers, but it was too late as Sharear Sakib (18 not out) and Ahrar (seven not out) guided the visitors to victory with 4.5 overs to spare.
The second and third one-day matches will be held on November 12 and 14 respectively.
