The battle for the top spot among T20I wicket-takers continues, with Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan picking up his 127th and joining New Zealand's Tim Southee.
Shakib al Hasan reached the milestone by taking 2 for 33 against India in the ongoing men's T20 World Cup. He bowled Suryakumar Yadav with his trademark drift into the right-hander and dismissed KL Rahul for 50 off 32 balls, having the batter top-edge an attempted big hit.

Shakib, 35, has established himself as the backbone of Bangladesh's cricket team since his debut in August 2006.

He is Bangladesh’s leading wicket-taker in both Tests and One-Day Internationals, and he is the only cricketer in the world to have scored 1000 runs and taken 100 wickets in the shortest international format.
Shakib's reign at the top, however, may not last long. Southee, who has 127 T20I wickets, will have a chance to go ahead when New Zealand takes on Ireland in Adelaide on Friday.
