Pakistan trio fined for breaching ICC Code of Conduct

Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the Tri-nation series at Hagley Oval, Christchurch on Thursday.


Bangladesh finished their tri-nation campaign, which is also their World Cup preparation by losing all four games in the tournament. 


Pakistan chased down the target of 174 runs with a delivery to spare, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan smashed fifties and Mohammad Nawaz struck a boundary to finish the chase.


Nawaz played a stormy innings of 45 off 20 deliveris aided by five boundaries and a six.

Rizwan scored 69 off 55 balls, before getting out in the last ball of the 19th over after while Babar a knock 0f 55 in 40 balls with nine fours.


Hasan Mahmud grabbed two wickets and Soumya Sarkar got one for Bangladesh.


Half-centuries from Shakib al Hasan and Liton Das powered Bangladesh to set a 174-run target against Pakistan.


Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first, the Tigers began with Najmul Hossain Shanto and Soumya Sarkar but Naseem Shah got rid of the left-arm opener Soumya (4) early.


Shanto also departed on 12 runs after struggling on the wicket against the Pakistan pacers. Then, skipper Shakib al Hasan and Liton amassed a 88-run stand for the third wicket. 


Shakib scored 68 off 42 and Liton top-scored with 69 off 42 deliveries which featured six boundaries and two sixes.


Following their dismissals, the Tigers slowed down a little and eventually gathered 173-6 in 20 overs. For Pakistan, Naseem and Mohammad Wasim picked up a couple of wickets each and Mohammad Nawaz took one.
