Imrul ends first-class career with a defeat, aims to play shorter format

The 24th edition of National Cricket League (NCL) is set to begin on October 10, announced by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). They have also announced the squads for the eight teams in the upcoming tournament. 

Taibur Rahman has been made the captain of the Dhaka Division. Naim Sheikh will lead Dhaka Metro, Farhad Hossain (Rajshahi Division).

Under-19 World Cup winning captain Akbar Ali will be seen leading the Rangpur division.  Fazle Mahmud Rabbi (Barisal), Imrul Kayes (Khulna division) and Zakir Hasan (Sylhet division). Irfan Sukkur (Chittagong division). 

BCB announced the prize money for this year's NCL aswell, the champion team of tier one will get 30 lakh BDT and the champion of the second tier will get 7 lakh BDT.
