Moeen Ali is set to lead England's first journey to Pakistan in 17 years, with fulltime skipper Jos Buttler failing to be fit for the trip's start next month.
Buttler was ruled out of the rest of the Hundred due to a calf injury last week and has since indicated that he is aiming for the "back end" of the seven-match T20i series in Pakistan in order to be ready for the T20 World Cup in Australia in October.

Moeen is expected to deputise in his absence, with the tour party arriving in Pakistan on September 14 - two days after the projected closing day of the third Test against South Africa at the Oval - ahead of the first match in Karachi on September 20.

Despite the horrific floods in Pakistan that have claimed over 1,100 lives since June, the trip will go forward as planned.
It will be the first time a senior England men's team has visited the country since 2005, with "away" series held in the United Arab Emirates due to security concerns.
England had agreed to play two T20 matches in Pakistan last winter but the collapse of New Zealand’s preceding visit because of an anonymous death threat – plus a clash with the rescheduled Indian Premier League – meant the matches were added to this year’s trip instead.
