Zimbabwe will welcome back ace all-rounder Sean Williams for the second ODI against Australia in Townsville, although fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani will not play.

Williams missed the first match of the day on Sunday due to bruising on his right elbow from a blow in the nets on the eve of the match.

He was dropped from the starting XI on the morning of the match, allowing rookie Wessly Madhevere to take his position at No.3.

Australia's concussion-blighted Pucovski retires from cricket at 27

"He's fine, he'll be playing tomorrow. It was just an external blow, it wasn't on the bone or anything it was the on muscle. He didn't feel any pain overnight but the next day he could hardly make a fist" Houghton told reporters on Tuesday.

Australian fans will have to wait a little while longer to see quick Muzarabani in action though, with Houghton confirming that the 25-year-old is unlikely to feature in the next two ODIs.

"Blessing realistically won't play on this tour," Houghton said.
