Mohammad Naim struck a century in Bangladesh's 44-run victory against West Indies A in the second one-dayer at the Daren Sammy Stadium at Saint Lucia to level the three-match series on Thursday.


Chasing 278, the visitors have restricted West Indies on 233-9 after 50 overs. Mukidul Islam Mugdho was the pick of the bowling attack as he scalped three for 32 in his nine overs.


Skipper Joshua Da Silva top-scored 68 off 79 with eight boundaries, and Tagenarine Chanderpaul was the next high scorer with 38 runs.

Even though the host made a good start in their chase, they kept losing wickets in a regular interval in the middle and eventually could muster 233.


Bangladesh scored 277 for six after being sent in to bat first. Opener Naim Sheikh set the tone from the start as the left-hander hit a 116-ball 103 which featured 14 four and a six.


Sabbir Rahman, who failed to impress in the first match, played a swashbuckling innings of 62 off 58 with six fours and a six. 


Skipper Mohammad Mithun and Shahadat Hossain Dipu played brief innings of 28 and 24 runs respectively. 


Shermon Lewis and Bryan Charles picked up a couple of wickets each for West Indies A.
